By accessing or using Aten Security’s services, you agree to these Terms. If you represent an organization, you accept on its behalf.

 

 

2. Services and Accounts

 

Aten Security provides secure monitoring, analysis, and archiving tools for regulated communications. Customers manage user accounts, integrations, and data-retention settings through the platform.

 

 

3. Customer Responsibilities

 

Customers agree to:

  • Maintain lawful use of our services and comply with all applicable regulations.
  • Configure integrations (Slack, Teams, Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, etc.) in accordance with their own policies.
  • Obtain any necessary employee consents for monitoring communications.
  • Protect account credentials and notify Aten immediately of unauthorized access.

 

 

4. Acceptable Use

 

You may not:

  • Interfere with or reverse engineer our platform.
  • Use the services to violate laws or third-party rights.
  • Upload malware or attempt to gain unauthorized access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts violating these terms.

 

 

5. Data Ownership and Confidentiality

 

Customers retain ownership of all data they submit. Aten Security acts as a data processor and uses data solely to provide services and fulfill compliance obligations. We maintain strict confidentiality and security controls consistent with SOC 2 and ISO 27001.

 

 

6. Intellectual Property

 

Aten Security retains all rights to its software, AI models, and platform materials. Limited, revocable, non-exclusive licenses are granted to use the service during the subscription term.

 

 

7. Service Availability and Support

 

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance or updates may occasionally affect uptime. Enterprise customers receive priority support per their agreement.

 

 

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

 

Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aten Security is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total liability is limited to fees paid during the preceding 12 months.

 

 

9. Termination

 

Either party may terminate use of the services upon notice if the other party materially breaches these Terms. Upon termination, customer data will be deleted or exported in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

 

 

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

 

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws. Any dispute shall be resolved through binding arbitration in San Francisco, CA.

 

 

11. Changes to Terms

 

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
